Parker went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Thursday.
Parker has been seeing more time with the Rockies completely out of it and he desperately needs the at-bats. In 44 games this season, Parker is batting a putrid .181 with 37 strikeouts in 105 at-bats. The youngster had some nice numbers in Triple-A, but he'll need to show more at the upper level to stick around next season.

Parker looks on track to see a reduction in at-bats following Corey Dickerson's activation from the disabled list Tuesday.
Though Dickerson didn't start in left field in Tuesday's loss to the Padres, Parker was excluded from the lineup in favor of Ben Paulsen, who had been squeezed out of his own everyday role at first base after Justin Morneau's recent activation. With Dickerson expected to play close to a regular basis from here forth and Ben Paulsen and Brandon Barnes seemingly ranking as his preferred backups, Parker may be limited to pinch-hitting duties the rest of the way. The former first-round pick has struggled mightily for the second straight season at the MLB level, producing a .167/.226/.321 batting line and striking out in 31 percent of his plate appearances.
Fri Sep 4 201517:46Parker not in lineup Friday against Giants
Parker is not in the lineup Friday against the Giants.
Parker has struggled at the plate, as he now owns just a .178 average on the year. Justin Morneau will return off the disabled list and get the start at first base, while Ben Paulsen will shift to left field and bat seventh.
Thu Sep 3 201517:04Parker out of Thursday's lineup against Giants
Parker is out of Thursday's lineup against the Giants, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
Parker's poor offensive production recently appears to have cost him playing time, now sitting for the third time in five games. Ben Paulsen will move out from first base to start in left field, while Wilin Rosario will enter the lineup at first base.
Mon Aug 31 201517:34Parker out of lineup Monday against Diamondbacks
Parker is out of the lineup Monday against the Diamondbacks, Dargan Southard of MLB.com reports.
Parker has really hit a slump at the plate recently, going 0-for-16 in the past seven games. AS a result, he's started losing playing time in left field, and will cede the duties to Brandon Barnes once again Monday.
Tue Aug 25 201519:06Parker late addition to Tuesday's lineup against Braves
Parker was a late addition to Tuesday's lineup against the Braves.
With Brandon Barnes (illness) scratched, Parker will step in to man left field against right-hander Mike Foltynewicz. Parker is 11-for-42 (.262 average) with two homers and five RBI against right-handed pitching with the big club.

Parker went 2-for-4 with a walk and four RBI in Saturday's 14-9 loss to the Mets.
After sitting on the bench in the last two games, Parker returned to the lineup and made the most of the start in left field, providing a bases-loaded triple to get the Rockies on the board in the second inning and providing an RBI double later in the contest. The former first-round pick has shown improved contact hitting in his more recent games, but his .250/.308/.438 batting line over 52 plate appearances remains relatively underwhelming.
Sun Aug 16 201514:08Parker out of lineup Sunday against Padres
Parker is out of the lineup Sunday against the Padres, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
Parker has been the main beneficiary of playing time in left field since Corey Dickerson succumbed to a pair of fractured ribs, but his grip on a full-time role may be loosening. The contact issues that plagued Parker during his brief stint with the Rockies last season have again reemerged, as he's struck out in 30 percent of his plate appearances thus far. If he fails to reverse that trend soon, Parker could see Matt McBride and Brandon Barnes cut into his action.
Wed Aug 12 201515:48Parker out of lineup Wednesday
Parker is out of the lineup Wednesday, Jenny Cavnar of ROOT Sports reports.
The 26-year-old outfielder has been in the lineup almost every day since being recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Aug. 1, but he will sit Wednesday in favor of Brandon Barnes. Parker has legit pop, and if he gets hot he could help carry fantasy teams for a few weeks down the stretch, as long as Corey Dickerson remains sidelined.
Wed Aug 5 201500:41Parker hit first major league homer Tuesday against Seattle
Parker hit his first major league homer Tuesday against Seattle. The solo shot was his only hit in four at-bats.
Parker, a 2010 first round pick, is a cool 4-for-14 (.286) with a home run, a walk and just two strikeouts in 15 plate appearances. He had been unimpressive in Triple-A before his call-up (.280/.326/.431 in 93 games) but has three 20-homer seasons in the minor leagues and has power that should play well at Coors Field.
Tue Aug 4 201511:01Parker 2-5 with run scored in Monday's loss to Mariners
Parker went 2-for-5 with a run scored in Monday's loss to the Mariners.
Parker was making his second straight start in left field, and could be the Rockies' top choice to play the position after Corey Dickerson (broken ribs) landed back on the DL over the weekend. During Dickerson's previous absences, Brandon Barnes and Drew Stubbs have been the primary beneficiaries for increased at-bats, but with both of those players establishing themselves as more ideal reserves at this stage of their careers, it makes sense for the Rockies to see what Parker can do. The former first-round draft choice struggled mightily in a small sample with the big club last season, but still packs enough power in his profile to warrant a look.
Sat Aug 1 201519:36Parker recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday
Parker was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque on Saturday, Patrick Sauders of the Denver Post reports.
Parker will take the roster spot of Corey Dickerson, who was placed on the disabled list Saturday with broken ribs. He'll likely serve mostly as depth in the outfield and off the bench, but could see a few spot starts in either left or right field.
Thu Jun 11 201516:02Parker optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday
Parker was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.
With Corey Dickerson and LaTroy Hawkins both coming off the DL on Thursday, the Rockies needed to clear space on the 25-man roster, so both Parker and Christian Bergman will head back to Triple-A. Parker, who was recalled Tuesday, saw action as a pinch hitter in Wednesday's loss to the Cardinals. He notched a single in his lone at-bat.
Tue Jun 9 201517:06Parker called up from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday
Parker was called up from Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday, Dargan Southard of MLB.com reports.
Parker, who made several big league cameos in 2014, got off to a painfully slow start at Triple-A this season. He's turned things around of late, however, and his average now sits at a respectable .275 for the season. Capable of playing both first base and the outfield, Parker figures to provide depth at the big league level, and it remains to be seen how long the Rockies intend to keep him around. A corresponding move is yet to be announced.

Parker is batting 16-for-40 (.400) with two homers and 11 RBI over his last 10 games at Triple-A Albuquerque.
Parker is beginning to dig himself out of a woeful open to the season with Albuquerque, but due to his April struggles, his batting line sits at a rather unremarkable .254/.296/.414 across 181 plate appearances. After adjusting for league and park effects, Parker's numbers equate to below-average production (86 wRC+). His slow start took him out of the running for a promotion to the Rockies when Justin Morneau (concussion) and Corey Dickerson (foot) hit the DL, and with call-ups Wilin Rosario, Ben Paulsen, and Brandon Barnes generally faring well as replacements, there's little reason to bring Parker aboard now even with his bat heating up.

Parker has compiled a .150/.250/.267 line through 70 plate appearances at Triple-A Albuquerque.
Parker has struck out in a whopping 31.4 percent of his plate appearances and has posted a horrendous 37 wRC+, where 100 represents the offensive value of a league-average hitter after adjusting for park effects. Seventy plate appearances represents a small sample, but Parker was merely an average performer at the Triple-A level last season, and struck out in over half of his plate appearances during his multiple call-ups in the majors. Now 25 years old, Parker is hardly a prospect of note, and doesn't look like he'll develop into anything more than a bench bat at the next level.
Sat Mar 28 201515:26Parker optioned to minors on Saturday
Parker was optioned to the minors on Saturday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.
The former first-round pick (26th overall in 2010) made a fairly strong case for a roster spot, going 13-for-39 (.333 average) with five doubles and six walks in 21 games, but the Rockies simply have better options at first base and in the corner outfield. That said, Parker will likely find himself on the short list of in-season replacement candidates if he gets off to a hot start at Triple-A. He posted a .289/.336/.450 line at that level last year, though that was with Colorado Springs.

Parker will vie for an Opening Day roster spot with the Rockies during spring training, MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports.
Parker won't get a chance to compete for a starting job at any position, but his ability to play either of the corner outfield spots in addition to first base will aid his chances of claiming a reserve job. However, with manager Walt Weiss expressing a desire to keep only four bench bats as the team looks to stock up relievers, Parker would seem a safer bet to open the season at Triple-A Albuquerque. Parker's cause is further hurt by the fact that he didn't exactly impress during his multiple stints with the big club in 2014, reaching base on five of his 26 plate appearances while striking out 14 times.
Wed Sep 3 201411:56Parker called up by Rockies on Tuesday
Parker was called up by the Rockies on Tuesday, MLB.com's Cody Ulm reports. He failed to reach base in his lone pinch-hit opportunity in Tuesday's loss to the Giants.
Parker will join the Rockies for the third time this season, but as was the case in his previous two stints with the club, he remains buried on the depth chart. His predicament will only worsen Sunday, when outfielder/first baseman Michael Cuddyer is expected to return from the DL.

Since returning to Triple-A Colorado Springs on July 12, Parker is batting .279 with five doubles and four homers over 136 at-bats.
The numbers aren't astounding by any means, but are likely good enough for Parker to warrant another look with the Rockies come September. However, the team is still quite deep in the corner outfield and at first base even with Carlos Gonzalez (knee) out for the season, so at-bats might be limited for Parker down the stretch.
