With Junior Guerra coming aboard via a waiver claim from the White Sox, the Brewers went ahead and bumped Ashley to make room on the 40-man roster. Ashley hit .306/.374/.442 with Triple-A Colorado Springs this season to earn his first callup to the majors, but he disappointed in his September audition, going 2-for-20 with eight strikeouts. He owns a .259/.339/.391 line in parts of six seasons at the Triple-A level.
