Tue Jun 19 201215:01Nationals sign Koyie Hill to minors deal
Nationals signed C Koyie Hill to a minor league contract.
Hill must be approaching some sort of record. Washington will be the fourth National League club that has employed him this season. The 33-year-old spent spring training with the Cardinals, signed a minor league deal with the Reds in April and was dealt to the Cubs three weeks later. Chicago DFA's Hill last week, he passed through waivers and refused an assignment to Triple-A. That story is far more interesting than the player who hit just .179 with a .385 OPS in 39 plate appearances with the Cubs. Regardless of whether or not he works his way back to the majors this year, he has zero fantasy value.
