Sun Jul 4 201016:52Angels call up OF Aldridge
Angels purchased the contract of OF Cory Aldridge from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Aldridge, a former Braves prospect, was hitting .301/.367/.510 in the Pacific Coast League, but that line comes with some caveats. He's 31 years old, and the league boosts offensive numbers quite a bit. The team is struggling to score runs with Kendry Morales out, and perhaps Aldrige will steal some at-bats from the underwhelming Juan Rivera, especially against righties.
