Figaro has been assigned to Triple-A Round Rock, Rangers vice president John Blake announced.
Figaro was never probably going to be more than organizational depth in the short term, as he was solid in Triple-A (3.70 ERA in 70.1 innings) but got knocked around in a short majors stint. He could still see the majors if he looks good at Round Rock.

Figaro, who ended the season with the Brewers, has been claimed off waivers by the Rangers, Andrew Gruman of Fox Sports Wisconsin reports.
Figaro spent the majority of the year at Triple-A Nashville, working primarily out of the bullpen. In 42 total appearances (two starts), Figaro compiled a 3.71 ERA across 70.1 total innings. He made six appearances for the Brewers after rosters expanded, going 0-1 and scattering 11 hits over 8.2 innings.

The Brewers played a 14-inning game against the Pirates on Sunday and are in need of a fresh arm in the bullpen. Wooten tossed two shutout innings in the 10th and 11th on Sunday. Figaro has allowed five runs in nine innings in the minors to start the season.

Alfredo Figaro (oblique) will be used in long relief when he returns from the disabled list.
He showed some flashes when given a chance to start, but the Brewers have opted to keep Tom Gorzelanny in the rotation instead. Figaro threw a bullpen session Saturday and will return shortly after the All-Star break.

Alfredo Figaro (oblique) will be activated from the disabled list as soon as this weekend.
Figaro has yet to make a rehab appearance, but his strained right oblique is evidently coming along nicely. He's been used as a starter and reliever this season but figures to get another shot in the rotation given the current state of the Brewers' starting five.

Alfredo Figaro gave up five runs -- four earned -- over 4 1/3 frames in Tuesday's loss to the Astros.
He yielded five hits, walked a pair and struck out three. Figaro tossed seven shutout innings against the Marlins his last time out, but he was unable to duplicate that effort in another favorable matchup. If he gets another start, it will come this weekend against the Braves.

Alfredo Figaro pitched seven scoreless innings against the Marlins on Wednesday to earn his first victory of the season.
Figaro was stellar, allowing just three hits while striking out four on the night. Granted, the Marlins are an easy target, but the presence of Giancarlo Stanton at least makes the feat a little more impressive. And he must be living right, because his next start will come next Wednesday against the Astros in Houston.

Alfredo Figaro allowed four runs over five innings and took a no-decision on Tuesday.
Figaro was making his first start of the year for the Brewers after 15 relief appearances, and the Twins got to him for three home runs in his five innings. The right-hander allowed just one other hit, though, and gave his team a chance to win despite the bombs. Even if Figaro gets another opportunity to start, he can continue to be ignored in all formats.
