Fien's struggles in the first half of this season (4.13 ERA and five home runs allowed 28.1 IP) contributed to a problematic setup corps for closer Glen Perkins. However, Fien has improved in August with a 1.17 ERA and 9:1 K:BB ratio in 15.1 innings.
