Colabello went 3-for-4 with two doubles and a run Tuesday against Oakland.

With Edwin Encarnacion missing this game with a wrist injury, Colabello hit in the clean-up spot and had half of the Blue Jays hits. Despite playing in a part-time role, Colabello has now hit in eight straight games and is now hitting .325.

Getting the start at first base, Colabello made a statement in the fourth inning that he continues to deserve playing time. Seemingly squeezed out of a starting spot with the addition of Ben Revere in left field, Colabello is still hitting for a .315/.358/.496 slash line during his breakout season. With the ability to play left field, right field and first base, he still should get at-bats, albeit with less regularity.

Colabello is out of the lineup Friday against the Royals.

Colabello's days as a left fielder with the Blue Jays will reportedly end following the team's trade for Ben Revere. However, he's expected to continue splitting time with Justin Smoak at first base when Edwin Encarnacion is the designated hitter. While it doesn't spell doom for Colabello, it seems likely he'll receive less starts than he did before the trade.

Colabello is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mariners.

Though he's hitting .320 with a .867 OPS, Colabello remains stuck in a timeshare with both Ezequiel Carrera in left field and Justin Smoak at first base, clouding his path to regular at-bats. Colabello still plays frequently enough to retain value in deep, AL-only, and daily formats, particularly when he's scheduled to face left-handed pitching.

Colabello will get the night off Tuesday with right-hander Kendall Graveman on the mound for Oakland, leaving the Blue Jays to put Ezequiel Carrera in the lineup to add a left-handed bat to a righty-dominated lineup. Although his bat has cooled off in July, Colabello still finished the first half with a .325/.371/.500 slash line with eight home runs and 32 RBI and he'll likely return to the lineup soon.

Colabello has been one of, if not the biggest, surprise for the Blue Jays this season. He's now hitting for a .324/.370/.510 slash line, all of which are career-highs. His nine home runs this season in just 58 games is also a career high. If he qualified for the batting title, he'd currently be fourth.

Colabello is out of the lineup for the third straight day Saturday, SportsNet's Barry Davis reports.

He has two home runs in his last four starts, so it would not seem that the dip in playing time is warranted. That said, his OPS is more than 200 points lower against righties than against lefties, so perhaps the Blue Jays will just pick their spots with him going forward when a southpaw is not on the mound.

Colabello has only started every other game this month, but has now homered in consecutive starts and has hit safely in each of his last five starts. After struggling to the tune of a .229 average with Minnesota last year, Colabello is hitting .335 with a career-high eight bombs this season.

Just when it seems like he might be cooling off, Colabello pops up with another homer. He's now got a highly improbable .335/.374/.505 slash line and 31 RBI in 51 games.

However, manager John Gibbons seems inclined to bring another left-handed bat in the fold Sunday against rookie right-hander Chi Chi Gonzalez, allowing Dioner Navarro to serve as the DH while Colabello sits.

He may have entered the season with that Quad-A label, but we're still waiting for Colabello to cool off -- 44 games into the season, his average remains a lofty .343, and he's providing fantasy-relevant pop as well.

Colabello will receive a regular day off after starting six straight games in left field. Saturday's 0-for-3 performance snapped an eight-game hit streak, but the 31-year-old is still batting an impressive .344 on the season. However, a large portion of that can likely be attributed to a highly unsustainable .447 BABIP.

Colabello went 1-for-4 with his fifth homer and two runs scored Thursday against the Mets.

We keep waiting for Colabello to go back to being his Quad-A self, and yet the 31-year-old just keeps hitting -- he's hit safely in seven straight games and 25 of his last 26, which has helped him maintain that mid-.300s batting average. With the near-everyday run he's getting, even mixed-league owners are obliged to take a look at this point.

Colabello went 2-for-5 in Monday's 11-inning loss to the Mets.

The career .251 hitter has built off his early momentum and is now hitting .347 in 37 games this season, which would lead the American League if he qualified. After starting the season in the minors, despite his defensive shortcomings, Colabello has shown that he's here to stay and will attempt to keep this hot start going through the season.

Colabello is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Marlins.

Colabello has been in the lineup for the Blue Jays every day since May 5, but manager John Gibbons decided to snap the 32-game streak and give Colabello a day off after he recorded six strikeouts and just three hits over his last four games. Colabello still owns an .888 OPS on the season, but he has posted just a .609 mark in that category through eight games this month.

Colabello was 3-for-4 with one run scored and one driven in as the Jays defeated Houston on Friday night.

What a boon he has been to both Toronto and his fantasy owners since being called up by the Jays. He's now working on a 15-game hitting streak and has his average up to a lofty .366 on the season. He has just modest power (four home runs) but has driven in 17 and should continue to see chances to produce while hitting in the middle of this potent lineup.

Colabello went 1-for-4 against the Twins on Friday, hitting the game-winning two-run homer in the ninth inning.

Colabello continues to be an unlikely hero for the Jays and fantasy owners alike, and he stuck it to his former team in this one. The 31-year-old is still hitting a startling .379, and he's collected 14 hits (including three homers) over the course of a nine-game hitting streak. He's locked into a regular spot in the Toronto lineup, and even though he's due to regress, he still owns an OPS north of 1.000 through 23 games, so fantasy owners need to be taking an interest.

Colabello went 3-for-5 in Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the White Sox.

That's now an eight game hitting streak for Colabello, who has been nothing short of sensational since being called up to the Blue Jays. He's now sporting a .386/.440/.578 slash line in 22 games and has helped prop up the Jays' outfield while Jose Bautista continues his recovery. He's a good play in daily leagues while he's still in the lineup.
