Sat Mar 22 201419:20Choice drills three-run homer against Royals
Michael Choice hit a three-run home run against the Royals on Saturday.
The homer, his third of the spring, came in Choice's first at-bat of the game. He raised his average to .333, and the homer also gave him 10 RBI on the spring. The outfielder is expected to platoon with left-handed hitting Mitch Moreland as the team's designated hitter this season but has likely earned himself a few more at-bats with his strong spring.

Michael Choice went 2-for-2 and plated the Rangers lone run in Friday's Cactus League loss to the Reds.
Both of Choice's hits were doubles. The 24-year-old outfielder got the start in left field in this contest, but is likely to serve as the Rangers regular designated hitter against southpaws during the season.

Sun Dec 29 201309:22Choice could be DH against left-handers
Rangers general manager Jon Daniels said that the team plans to start Michael Choice or another right-handed bat in the designated hitter spot against lefties.
Mitch Moreland will form the long side of the platoon against right-handers. Choice could also see starts in center field versus southpaws in place of Leonys Martin, who has struggled against lefties. So, even after the Shin-Soo Choo signing, Choice could still receive a decent number of at-bats. He might have some value in AL-only leagues.

Tue Dec 3 201314:11Rangers get Michael Choice from A's
Rangers acquired OF Michael Choice and INF Chris Bostick from the Athletics for OF Craig Gentry and RHP Josh Lindblom.
The Athletics have now traded their top draft picks from 2008-2010. Choice, a first-rounder in 2010, made his major league debut this past season and owns a .290/.376/.482 batting line in the minors. While his power has tapered off over the past two seasons, it's still a bit surprising to see the Athletics give up on his tools. The 24-year-old could be in the mix for the starting left fielder job if the Rangers stand pat, but we have a feeling they have some more moves up their sleeve.

Sun Sep 1 201311:36Athletics recall Michael Choice from Triple-A
Athletics recalled OF Michael Choice from Triple-A Sacramento.
The 23-year-old outfielder was enjoying a nice season at Sacramento, hitting .302/.390/.445 with 14 homers and 89 RBI in the hitter-friendly PCL. He'll serve as additional depth on the bench, but becomes interesting in AL-only leagues if he can find consistent at-bats.

Tue Jul 24 201216:11Michael Choice shut down with broken hand
Michael Choice has been shut down for the remainder of the 2012 season due to a fractured hand.
Choice was batting .287/.356/.423 with 10 home runs, 15 doubles and 58 RBI in 91 games this year at Double-A Midland. The former No. 10 overall pick should climb to the Triple-A level at some point next season.
