Fri Jul 22 201104:51Conrad homers, steals base in win
Brooks Conrad was 1-for-4 with a home run and a stolen base in the Braves' 9-6 victory on Thursday.
It's the first time in his career that he's homered and swiped a bag in the same game. The sparsely used Conrad is making the most of his opportunities, hitting .304 with three homers in his last 23 at-bats.

Thu Jun 16 201122:56Brooks Conrad comes up big again
Brooks Conrad was up to his old late-game heroics again Thursday, belting a pinch-hit, two-run homer off Mets closer Francisco Rodriguez in the extra innings win.
Conrad hasn't been a particularly effective player on the whole in his three seasons with the Braves, but he sure has had a flair for the dramatic, as he's come up with a pair of late pinch-hit homers this season after delivering multiple big moments last year. He'll continue to serve as a valuable late-game pinch-hitting option going forward, though if Chipper Jones has to miss some time with a groin injury, he could see some starts at the hot corner.

Wed May 25 201116:12Brooks Conrad plays hero with pinch-hit homer
Brooks Conrad delivered a pinch-hit homer in the top of the 11th to propel the Braves to a 4-2 win over the Pirates on Wednesday.
A flashback to some of last year's heroics. Conrad, who took Jeff Karstens deep with Wilkin Ramirez on base, entered today's game with just 23 at-bats and a .130 average this season. He's started only two games all season.

Sun Oct 10 201020:03Conrad's errors cost Braves in loss
Brooks Conrad went 0-for-3 and committed three errors, the last of which gave the Giants the lead in the ninth, Sunday in the Game 3 loss.
Troy Glaus hasn't made a start at third all year, but manager Bobby Cox has to be seriously thinking about trying him there now. Conrad has made four errors at second base in three games, and he's just 1-for-10 in the series. He popped up a sac bunt bid in his final at-bat today, and the last error was truly embarrassing, as the ball went right between his legs. If Conrad is benched, Omar Infante would likely move to second.

Brooks Conrad went 0-for-3 and committed two errors Sunday in Game 3 against the Giants.

Wed Sep 29 201019:35Braves' Conrad hits three-run homer in win
Brooks Conrad hit a three-run homer off Andrew Miller in the Braves' 5-1 win over the Marlins on Wednesday.
It was Conrad's eighth homer, but the first that wasn't hit in the seventh inning or later. The minor league veteran moved into the starting lineup because of Martin Prado's injury. While it's his late-inning pinch-hitting heroics that have gotten attention this year, he's hit five homers and driven in 19 runs in 81 at-bats as a third baseman.
Tue Aug 10 201023:11Conrad plays hero in win over Astros
Brooks Conrad slugged a ninth-inning go-ahead two-run homer off Matt Lindstrom in a 4-2 win over the Astros on Tuesday night.
It wouldn't be pennant race baseball without the emergence of unlikely heroes. Conrad is certainly one of them. He was only in the game because Chipper Jones was forced to leave with a left knee injury in the bottom of the sixth inning. He'll only have minimal fantasy value should Jones have to miss a significant period of time, but that matters not to Braves fans tonight.
Sat Jun 12 201022:09Conrad drives in go-ahead run in 9th inning
Brooks Conrad drove in the go-ahead run in Saturday's 3-2 ninth-inning win over the Twins.
Conrad was playing third base in place of the injured Chipper Jones, and was the unlikely hero in an exciting back-and-forth tilt. With Saturday's game-winning bunt included, he's batting .289 this year with a .347 on-base percentage and 12 RBI in 45 at-bats.
Thu May 20 201016:41Braves score seven in ninth, beat Reds 10-9
Pinch-hitter Brooks Conrad hit a walkoff grand slam off Francisco Cordero to cap a seven-run ninth inning as the Braves beat the Reds 10-9 on Thursday.
Brian McCann and Chipper Jones had been removed from the apparent rout, which saw the Reds take an 8-0 lead in the second inning. It was still 9-3 headed into the bottom of the ninth, and that's when Dusty Baker blew it. Even though Mike Lincoln was in his third inning of work, Baker let him give up four straight hits before removing him from the game. A walk and an error while Nick Masset was in then made it 9-6. After Arthur Rhodes fanned Jason Heyward for the first out, Baker brought in his closer to face Conrad with the bases loaded, and Conrad launched a ball to left-center that deflected off Laynce Nix's glove for his third homer in 28 at-bats this season and his first career grand slam.
