Wed Mar 12 2014 | 16:20 | Jeremy Moore, Jerry Sands homer for Rays |
Jeremy Moore and Jerry Sands both hit their third homers of the spring for the Rays on Wednesday. |
Neither player is on the 40-man and neither figured to be in the running for a bench spot, but the numbers are awfully nice. Moore is 8-for-20 with six extra-base hits, while Sands is 9-for-20 with seven extra-base hits. Barring an injury, the Rays seem set with a bench of Jose Molina, Logan Forsythe, Sean Rodriguez and Brandon Guyer. However, with the way Moore and Sands are playing, perhaps Rodriguez could be made available in trade. |
