Sat Jun 8 | 06:20 | Tobias Myers Tosses Eight Scoreless Innings Friday |
Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Tobias Myers was dominant in his start in a 10-0 win over the Detroit Tigers on Friday. Myers tossed eight innings of shutout ball while striking out five, walking three, and allowing just one hit to earn the win for his team. That easily goes down as the best appearance of Myers' young career. Myers has now made eight appearances (seven starts) for the Brewers this season, posting a 2-2 record, 4.15 ERA, 1.24 WHIP, and 32 strikeouts over 34 2/3 innings of work. Fantasy gamers will want to consider adding Myers where available in case he's able to continue to build upon Friday's success. |

Sun May 26 | 12:52 | Tobias Myers Getting The Start Against Red Sox |
Milwaukee Brewers rookie right-hander Tobias Myers, not rookie Robert Gasser, will make the start at Fenway Park on Sunday to face the Boston Red Sox. This will be Myers' fifth start in his first MLB season. He was called up from Triple-A Nashville earlier in the week and threw a scoreless innings with two strikeouts against the Miami Marlins on Tuesday. The 25-year-old former sixth-round pick by the Baltimore Orioles in 2016 has gone 1-2 with a 5.00 ERA (6.85 FIP) and 1.39 WHIP with nine walks and 19 strikeouts in his 18 innings pitched so far in the majors, making him a pretty shaky streaming consideration for fantasy managers in deeper leagues on Sunday. Depending on how he looks against the BoSox, Myers could stick in Milwaukee's rotation for another turn or two with Joe Ross (back) on the injured list. |

Tue Apr 23 | 16:23 | Tobias Myers Making MLB Debut On Tuesday |
Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Tobias Myers is making his major-league debut on Tuesday and is starting on the mound against the Pittsburgh Pirates on the road. Myers was called up by the Brew Crew last week for pitching depth, but he never got into a game, so this will be the 25-year-old's big-league debut. Before his call-up to Milwaukee, he posted a strong 1.62 ERA with 22 strikeouts and seven walks in 16 2/3 innings at Triple-A Nashville. Given all of the injuries to the team's starters, Myers has a real shot to stick in the Brewers' rotation for a little bit if he impresses the club on Tuesday. He was originally drafted in the sixth round by the Baltimore Orioles in 2016 and has gone 5-20 with a 5.74 ERA and 1.58 WHIP in his four seasons at Triple-A. |

Thu Jul 7 2022 | 11:50 | Giants Acquire Tobias Myers From Cleveland |
The San Francisco Giants acquired right-hander Tobias Myers from the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday in exchange for cash considerations. The Giants have optioned Myers to Triple-A Sacramento and right-hander Anthony DeSclafani (ankle) has been moved to the 60-day injured list. Myers, who was listed by MLB Pipeline as the Guardians' No. 20 prospect, had really struggled at Triple-A Columbus with a 6.00 ERA, 1.77 WHIP, 40 strikeouts and 33 walks in 60 innings over 14 starts before the trade. San Francisco will attempt to turn the 23-year-old's season around in the minors as they continue his development. Myers has an intriguing fastball but doesn't have a huge margin for error, and he'll need to show much more consistency if he wants to make it to the big leagues. |
