Wed Sep 18 201309:47Sean Marks joins Spurs as assistant coach
Former NBA big man Sean Marks will join the Spurs as an assistant coach this season.
Marks retired in 2011 after an 11-year NBA career. A position on the Spurs' coaching staff suggests he'll have a fruitful career on the sidelines -- Gregg Popovich's assistants have repeatedly been poached by other teams in need of a head coach, including this summer's departure of Brett Brown (76ers) and Mike Budenholzer (Hawks).

Tue Feb 22 201115:31Sean Marks getting hand X-rayed
Sean Marks suffered a left hand injury in practice and is getting X-rays.
This could matter if the Blazers trade Marcus Camby and Joel Przybilla, but Marks shouldn't have much fantasy value even if it happens.

Tue Dec 21 201001:43Marks pressed into action on Dante injury
Sean Marks was pressed into action after starting center Dante Cunningham left Monday's game with an ankle injury, and finished with six points on 2-of-7 shooting with five rebounds, one steal, and two blocks in 24 minutes.
He is worth a look as a spot-start in deeper leagues for the desperate, but that's just about it. Once any one of Cunningham, Marcus Camby (shoulder), Joel Przybilla (ankle) returns to action, he's back to being irrelevant in fantasy leagues.
Wed Dec 1 201018:21Sean Marks is active for Wednesday
Sean Marks is active for Wednesday's game at Boston.
He'd been out with an ankle injury, not that it matters in fantasyland. There's also no guarantees that he plays.

Sat Nov 6 201009:37Blazers to sign big man Sean Marks
The Trail Blazers are expected to sign veteran big man Sean Marks in the wake of Fabricio Oberto's sudden retirement.
Marks is a career backup who has never averaged more than 4.6 points per game (back in 2001-02 with the Heat). Once Joel Przybilla returns, his role will likely go from very small to non-existent.

Sun Oct 17 201000:04Marks hopes to play in a preseason game
Sean Marks, who has missed most of the preseason with a pulled right hamstring, is hoping to see action in at least one of the two remaining preseason games for the Wizards.
He's on a non-guaranteed contract and is far from a lock to make the roster, especially if he cannot get onto the court to show what he can do. He's irrelevant for fantasy purposes.

Mon Sep 6 201018:02Marks, Martin to try out for Wizards
Big man Sean Marks and swingman Cartier Martin will both be in Wizards training camp fighting for a chance to make the team.
Guard Lester Hudson is also a possibility for camp, but it's not likely that any of these three will have any fantasy impacts if they are lucky enough to make the team.
