Tue Apr 25 202316:18Josh Lowe Moves Up To Cleanup Spot Tuesday
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Josh Lowe will move to the cleanup spot for the first time this season against the Houston Astros and right-hander Luis Garcia. Lowe has largely hit seventh or eighth this season but moves up to the four-hole for tonight's contest. The lineup promotion shouldn't come as a surprise considering Lowe is hitting a robust .333 with four homers, four stolen bases, and a 1.025 OPS across 64 trips to the plate on the season. Considering the youngster scuffled to a .221 average with two HR and 3 SB in 52 games last season, the Rays are surely thrilled with his production on the young season. He is also manning right field once again but has also mixed in four starts in center field on the campaign.

Mon Apr 10 202310:27Josh Lowe Collects Two RBI In Sunday's Win
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Josh Lowe went 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, and two RBI in Sunday's 11-0 win over the A's. In Sunday's victory, he drove in both runs with a bases-loaded walk and an RBI single. The 25-year-old is off to a hot start, slashing .364/.417/.682 with a home run, five RBI, and three runs across six games in 2023. The Rays placed outfielder Jose Siri (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list. Lowe should see an uptick in at-bats while Siri is sidelined. Fantasy managers searching for outfield help should look to add Lowe in all league formats.

Sun Jul 31 202211:08Josh Lowe Optioned To Triple-A
The Tampa Bay Rays optioned rookie outfielder Josh Lowe to Triple-A Durham on Sunday to make room for recently acquired outfielder David Peralta on the active MLB roster. In 52 games for the Rays since his promotion, Lowe hit only .221/.284/.343 with two home runs, 13 RBI, 24 runs scored, three stolen bases and 66 strikeouts in 198 plate appearances for the Rays. Whenever the 24-year-old returns to the big leagues, he'll return to a seven-game hitting streak. He'll need to cut down on his strikeout rate when he returns to the Rays if he wants to see regular playing time. Lowe will return to a .299/.382/.540 slash line with a .922 OPS, six home runs, 35 RBI, 22 runs scored and six stolen bases at Durham.

Mon May 2 202214:18Rays Option Josh Lowe To Triple-A
The Tampa Bay Rays optioned outfielder Josh Lowe to Triple-A on Sunday. Lowe was hitting .188 with a .257 on-base percentage, a home run, and a stolen base in 71 plate appearances early in the season for Tampa Bay. The Rays needed to make a few roster moves to get down to a 26-man roster. If you have the bench space, Lowe is certainly someone to keep around on your bench in deeper leagues due to his power and speed potential. As of now, Tampa Bay's current outfield options include Randy Arozarena, Kevin Kiermaier, Manuel Margot, Brett Phillips and Harold Ramirez.

Sat Apr 16 202211:06Josh Lowe Not Playing Saturday
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Josh Lowe is not in the starting lineup on Saturday against the Chicago White Sox. Brett Phillips and Manuel Margot will start in the outfield in center field and right field, respectively, with Phillips hitting seventh and Margot batting sixth against White Sox right-hander Michael Kopech. Fri Apr 8 202214:10Josh Lowe Hitting Seventh, Serving As DH
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Josh Lowe is serving as the designated hitter and is batting seventh on Opening Day on Friday against Baltimore Orioles left-hander John Means. Randy Arozarena, Kevin Kiermaier and Manuel Margot are in the outfield for Tampa to kick off the regular season. Lowe being in the lineup right off the bat against a left is a good sign after he hit .291/.381/.535 with 22 home runs and 26 stolen bases in 111 games for Triple-A Durham in 2021. The team's No. 2 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, hits from the left side and could have 25-plus homer power if he continues to cut down on his strikeouts. If Lowe can master southpaws as well, look out.

Tue Apr 5 202200:24Rays Acquire Isaac Paredes; Josh Lowe To Be Called Up
After the Tampa Bay Rays traded outfielder Austin Meadows to the Detroit Tigers on Monday in exchange for infielder Isaac Paredes and a competitive-balance pick in this year's draft, the team will call up outfield prospect Josh Lowe to put him on the Opening Day roster, according to a source. Lowe is the team's No. 2 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, but he hit just .190 with two RBI and six strikeouts in eight Grapefruit League games this spring. The 24-year-old has 20-20 potential and should immediately become relevant in mixed fantasy leagues if he's playing every day in the big leagues. Paredes, 23, is likely to begin the year with Triple-A Durham, but he'll provide plenty of multi-positional versatility in the Rays organization in 2022 and beyond.

Thu Sep 9 202105:32Josh Lowe Swipes Bag In MLB Debut
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Josh Lowe went 1-for-1 with a walk and a stolen base in his big-league debut Wednesday against the Boston Red Sox. He started in right field and batted eighth in Wednesday's loss. The Rays rookie outfielder reached base on a walk and stole his first career base. He later hit an infield single for his first major league career hit. Lowe was replaced in the eighth inning by Yandy Diaz. He was recalled from Triple-A Durham on Wednesday after the Rays placed star outfielder Randy Arozarena on the paternity list. Tampa Bay has a crowded outfield, and at-bats will be tough to come by for Lowe, making him more of a streamer in most league formats.

Wed Sep 8 202114:02Josh Lowe Gets The Call Wednesday
Tampa Bay Rays outfield prospect Josh Lowe has been called up to the majors on Wednesday. Lowe is the fourth-ranked prospect in the Rays system, according to MLB.com. He has the speed-power combination that makes players so valuable in fantasy baseball, smashing 21 HRs and stealing 24 bases in 98 Triple-A games this year. He likely won't have a starting job right away, as the Rays have a strong outfield group, but he's a streaming option when he does start and a good player to stash in dynasty leagues.
