Tue Aug 16 202200:40Vinnie Pasquantino Homers Again Monday
Kansas City Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino continued his recent power surge in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Twins, going 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk, and a strikeout. The 24-year-old rookie has now hit five HR in his last seven games and has a respectable .261/.345/.458 slash line with eight HR and 14 RBI in 174 plate appearances. He has always profiled as having power potential and is currently rostered in just 30 percent of leagues. As such, he is worth a look for fantasy managers who need a boost in their lineups.

Wed Jul 27 202213:44Vinnie Pasquantino Out With Thumb Discomfort
Kansas City Royals rookie first baseman/designated hitter Vinnie Pasquantino (thumb) is dealing with right thumb discomfort, which is why he's not in the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Angels. He felt it on a swing on Tuesday but is "feeling better today," according to skipper Mike Matheny. Fantasy managers should consider the 24-year-old day-to-day for now. Pasquantino has struggled in his first 25 major league games, going 19-for-90 (.211) with 17 strikeouts, three home runs, five RBI and eight runs scored in 104 plate appearances. Andrew Benintendi will serve as the designated hitter and bat third on Wednesday, while Ryan O'Hearn is at first base and hitting fifth against Angels right-hander Janson Junk.

Fri Jul 1 202218:16Vinnie Pasquantino Bumped Up To Cleanup Spot Friday
Kansas City Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino will be hitting cleanup in Friday's game against right-hander Michael Pineda and the Detroit Tigers. The 24-year-old batted sixth in his MLB debut Tuesday, then hit fifth in his second game, so he's been inching his way in the right direction in the order. Over his first two MLB games, he went 0-for-5 with a pair of walks. We'll see if he can deliver his first major league hit on Friday. The youngster has a lot of eyes on him right now after he became one of the most talked-about prospects in the league. Over 69 games at Triple-A this year, he slashed .280/.372/.576 with 18 home runs, 67 RBI and 51 runs. Perhaps most impressively, he struck out just 36 times over that 69-game stretch while walking 37 times.
