| This page computes wins using an alternate means suggested by Tom Tango. The winning pitcher is the pitcher who records the last out prior to his team taking its first lead, so long as the pitcher has pitched deep enough to qualify, and his team still has the lead after his line is complete.
In practice, this means that if later relievers blow the lead, but your team still wins, you still get the win, instead of the reliever who was pitcher of record when the team took its last lead. In this definition, a reliever allowing inherited runners to score does not blow a lead. Inherited runners are still the responsibility of the pitcher who allowed them on base.
If you mouse over a pitcher's win total, you'll see the dates of games that pitcher gets a win. Mouse over the DiffW total to see the dates of games where the win rules differ: +date means the game is a win only in the new rule, -date means it is a win under the old rule. +0 in the DiffW column means a pitcher has the same win total, but which games he won differs.
