Sat Sep 421:33Teoscar Hernandez Swats 24th Long Ball
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez launched his 24th home run and 92nd RBI of the season on Saturday to help his team defeat the Athletics 10-8. His three-run shot off Jake Diekman in the seventh gave his club some much needed insurance at the time for his only hit of the ball game as he finished the afternoon going 1-for-3 with a walk. Hernandez has been hot since the break by wrapping up August with six homers, 23 RBI, and a .301 BA and he's picking up where he left off so far in September going 3-for-9 with two homers in three games. The 28-year-old should remain a strong fantasy asset the rest of the way batting in the middle of the Jays potent lineup.

It was an up-and-down day for the Mets, who made a big deal to get Javier Báez from the Chicago Cubs before baseball’s trade deadline — and then revealed injured ace Jacob deGrom will be shut down for two more weeks because of inflammation in his pitching elbow, making it unlikely he’ll rejoin the NL East leaders before September. Báez was acquired from the Cubs along with right-hander Trevor Williams for outfield prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong, the Mets’ first-round pick in the 2020 amateur draft. Báez is expected to join the Mets on Saturday and ... [More]
