Angels signed C Cole Armstrong to a minor league contract.

Armstrong was bumped off the White Sox's 40-man roster in mid-January after posting a rough .252/.287/.427 batting line in 2010 for Triple-A Charlotte. With a bit of luck, he may be able to climb his way to the big leagues this season in Anaheim while the Angels wait for catching prospect Hank Conger to fully develop.
