The White Sox requested waivers on Leesman on Wednesday with the purpose of giving him his unconditional release, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Leesman made a spot-start earlier this season for the big league team, but it looks like his tenure with the White Sox organization will end after seven minor league seasons and two major league starts. He could serve as organizational pitching depth elsewhere.
