LHP Wei-Chung Wang made his seventh appearance of the season Sunday but allowed a run on a single to the only batter he faced. He's worked a total of 1 1/3 innings, allowing a run on three hits.

LHP Wei-Chung Wang was called up for a second time this season on Friday, giving Milwaukee an extra left-hander out of the bullpen. He appeared in just one game for the Brewers, allowing a hit to the only batter he faced back on July 30. Wang went 6-2 with a 2.05 ERA in 47 appearances for Triple-A Colorado Springs this season.

LHP Wei-Chung Wang was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Thursday. Wang faced one batter -- Jason Hayward of the Cubs, who singled -- in a 4-2 loss to Chicago on Sunday in his only appearance with Milwaukee this season.

LHP Wei Chung Wang is headed back to Triple-A Colorado Springs after he was optioned to clear room for RHP Matt Garza to return from the disabled list. Wang appeared in one game since being called up and allowed a base hit to the only batter he faced in his first big league appearance since 2014. The 25-year-old former Rule 5 pick is 5-1 with a 2.09 ERA in 39 appearances this season for Colorado Springs.

LHP Wei-Chung Wang was called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Sunday. Wang was 5-1 with a 2.09 ERA in 39 relief appearances for the Sky Sox. The left-hander was a Rule 5 pick from Pittsburgh in 2014 and spent that season in the big leagues, posting a 10.90 ERA in 14 appearances.

Wang has cleared waivers and was outrighted to High-A Brevard County on Thursday.

Wang was a Rule 5 draft pick prior to 2014, and the Brewers elected to hold onto him rather than send him back to the Pirates. Unfortunately, it appears he hasn't panned out as planned, but he'll remain the Brewers organization after passing through waivers unclaimed.

Wang was designated for assignment Tuesday.

Wang, who is pitching at High-A Brevard County, will be removed from the 40-man roster to make room for third baseman Matt Dominguez, who the organization claimed off waivers from the Astros on Tuesday. Dominguez will report to Triple-A Colorado Springs.

The Brewers optioned Wang to High-A Brevard County on Tuesday, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Wang spent the 2014 season on the major league roster as a Rule 5 pick, but it was clear he still needed development time, and the Brewers will be able to give him that this season. While Wang struggled in the majors a year ago, the Brewers clearly like his potential, and he will have a chance to move up the ranks this season if things go well.

Wang is expected to start the season with the Brevard County Manatees before moving up to Double-A Biloxi, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Wang had a strong showing in the Arizona Fall League in 2014. He was expected to start the season in the minors to begin with, but should crack the major league roster at some point this season. In 14 appearances in the majors last season, Wang had a rough go of it with a 10.9 ERA with 13 strikeouts and eight walks

Wang could open the season with Double-A Huntsville, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Haudricourt reports.

He impressed the Brewers' brass with his performance at the Arizona Fall League, and could be a fast mover in 2015 as he transitions from working out of the bullpen in mop up duty last season to taking the ball every fifth day as the Brewers groom him to become a starter. He doesn't qualify as a prospect, but those in dynasty leagues should not forget about Wang, as he has as much upside as any of the Brewers' pitchers in the upper levels of the minor leagues. Haudricourt did not provide an update on Wang's health status, as it was reported that he suffered an injury in Thursday's AFL game.

Wang pitched five innings Thursday before walking to the clubhouse with trainers. He may dealing with some sort of back ailment as he was spotted grabbing the area, but expect an update on his status when more details become available.

Wang (shoulder) was activated from the 15-day DL on Monday, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Wang was sharp while on rehab assignment, giving up just seven earned runs while fanning 22 in 27 innings between rookie-level Arizona, Low-A Wisconsin and High-A Brevard County. However, the 22-year-old struggled mightily in 12 appearances with the big club earlier this season (11.12 ERA, 2.24 WHIP) and isn't likely to be entrusted with high-leverage work at any point in September.

Wang (shoulder) will begin his rehab assignment for rookie-level Arizona on Sunday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

As a lightly-used Rule 5 pickup, Wang will not be rushed back the Brewers' bullpen. Expect the organization to use the full length of Wang's 20-day rehab window.

Wang gave up two runs over a relief inning Thursday to push his ERA up to 11.12. The Rule 5 pick has some talent, but he's clearly not big league-ready and is probably better off being stashed on the DL. It's not clear how long he'll be out.
