He allowed three more hits to the next four batters before departing. "Anthony had a good run going there," manager Robin Ventura said. "He was pitching great. The move comes as a response to the call-up of Nick Martinez, who will get the start on the mound Monday. Ranaudo spent just over two weeks with the big league club during this latest stint, appearing in two games, including Sunday's loss to the Astros, when he allowed five earned runs and three walks in three innings.
