Martinez signed a minor league contract with an invite to training camp with the Rangers, ESPN.com reports.
Martinez made three appearances in the majors with the Astros, but saw most of his playing time with Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he posted a 5.64 ERA in 22 games. He will try to make the Rangers' roster as a depth pitcher in the bullpen.
