Carter is a veteran point guard that would make the Pacers better in reality, but with Darren Collison, George Hill, A.J. Price and Lance Stephenson around, probably won't get many opportunities to play.

Although he's in the twilight of his career, Carter is a serviceable veteran at the end of the bench who shouldn't cost much to keep around. He proved he can still play in Game 4 with 11 points, five rebounds and four assists in 23 minutes and it wouldn't be surprising to see him back at MSG next year.
