Diamondbacks signed LHP Rommie Lewis to a minor league contract.

Lewis hasn't appeared in the majors since 2011 and spent last season in the Independent League. The 30-year-old left-hander will serve as organizational depth.

"It was just minor tightness, but they're just going to check it out and see how he is, give him a clean bill of [health] before he goes back out there and pitches again." Lewis hasn't pitched since giving up four runs over one-third of an inning against the Rays on Saturday.

Though he is a southpaw, it's worth noting that that left-handed batters have hit him at a .305 clip during his minor league career.
