Jeremy Accardo has signed a contract with the Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League.

The right-hander was released by the Nationals last June after posting a 5.56 ERA in 22 2/3 innings at Triple-A and failed to catch on with another MLB-affiliated club.
