Wed Feb 29 201220:32Cadillac Williams could be Chargers target
The Union-Tribune San Diego suggests free agent Cadillac Williams as a tailback the Chargers might target to pair with Ryan Mathews.
It sounds like the Bolts will go cheap on a No. 2 back and give Mathews the reigns. (We'd recommend to immediately send out trade feelers for Mathews in Dynasty leagues.) Williams turns 30 in April, but can play on third down and quietly averaged a career-high 4.15 yards per carry last season. He's no difference maker, but has enough gas left to serve as a clear No. 2 running back.

Sat Jan 28 201210:56Cadillac Williams unlikely to return to Rams
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch does not the Rams to re-sign free agent Cadillac Williams.
The Post also expects the Rams to let fellow free agent RB Jerious Norwood walk, and to potentially look to the draft for Steven Jackson's new backup. Williams rushed 87 times for 361 yards in 2011, adding 14 catches for 93 yards. He should at least get a camp invite in 2012.

Sun Jan 1 201218:08Cadillac Williams scores in '11 finale
Cadillac Williams rushed seven times for 17 yards and a touchdown in St. Louis' Week 17 loss to the 49ers.
The touchdown was Cadillac's first of the year. Active for only 11 games thanks to a calf injury, Williams averaged a respectable 4.1 yards per carry this season, but played a disappointingly small role in the passing game, making only 14 catches. A free-agent-to-be, Williams likely showed enough earn a roster spot somewhere in 2012, but won't be guaranteed a backup job.

Fri Nov 18 201114:24Cadillac Williams won't be active Sunday
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch confirms that Cadillac Williams (calf) will not be active Sunday against the Seahawks.
Jerious Norwood is expected to be active as Steven Jackson's backup for the first time since Week 3. The extent of Williams' injury is unknown, but a calf tear could sideline him for several weeks. Now injured and offering scant upside if Jackson got injured, Cadillac can be dropped in 12-team leagues.

Sun Nov 13 201122:30Cadillac Williams injured on way to huddle
Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo revealed after Sunday's game that Cadillac Williams suffered his calf injury "going out onto the field."
It sounds like Williams strained the calf running from the sideline to the huddle, rather than during an offensive play. It's bad luck, but probably more predictable for a running back whose body has fallen apart at age 29. Williams did not return to the game and is uncertain to play going forward.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is calling Cadillac Williams' Week 6 injury a "thigh" ailment.

Mon Sep 26 201109:39Williams admits he isn't 100 percent
Cadillac Williams admitted his hamstring wasn't 100 percent during Sunday's loss to the Ravens.
Williams picked up 75 yards on 18 carries even though Steven Jackson (quad) was active. But Caddy said he didn't feel like himself. "It still really didn't have kind of that explosion; it still kind of grabbed." With Jackson coming out of the game healthy, Williams' Week 4 workload projects to get slashed.

Sun Sep 25 201120:19Cadillac Williams goes for 75 yards in loss
Cadillac Williams carried the ball 18 times for 75 yards in Sunday's loss to the Ravens.
The Rams shied away from Steven Jackson after falling behind 21-0 in the first quarter, giving Williams 12 of his 15 carries in the final three quarters. The 75-yard performance was Williams' second in three games. Provided Jackson continues to progress toward 100 percent health this week, it's a total Williams is unlikely to reach for a third time in Week 4. He remains worth an own in deeper leagues or if you're an S-Jax owner, but Williams' 2011 moment in the sun should soon be coming to an end.

Thu Sep 22 201116:17Cadillac Williams held out again on Thursday
Cadillac Williams (hamstring) was held out of practice again on Thursday.
According to the Rams website, Williams is being monitored closely this week. He's lucky he still has a job after watching Michael Boley rumble down the sidelines for a fumble-return score Monday night. With Steven Jackson (quad) as a game-time decision this week, Jerious Norwood could pick up double-digit touches against the Ravens.
