Posluszny (ankle) is inactive Sunday against the Bucs.

With Posluszny missing, the Jaguars will be without one of their best tacklers. This is likely a boost to Doug Martin and the Bucs rushing attack.

Posluszny (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game, Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union reports.

Posluszny wasn't able to participate in practice at all this week, however coach Gus Bradley noted Thursday the middle linebacker's status wouldn't be decided until closer to Sunday. He will likely be a game-time decision when the Jaguars face the Buccaneers.

Posluszny (ankle) did not practice Thursday, John Oehser of jaguars.com reports.

Posluszny didn't practice Wednesday either, but coach Gus Bradley didn't seem overly concerned, saying, "We knew kind of going into this that this would be day after day. It would not surprise me if he didn't go (Friday) in practice, but still, we're OK with that. I think we anticipated this might happen and would not be surprised if it happened again (Friday)." It seems likely Posluszny's status will be determined on Sunday, before the Jaguars face the Buccaneers.

Posluszny, who sustained a high-ankle sprain during the Jaguars' Week 4 matchup against the Colts, hopes to play Sunday against the Buccaneers, the team's official site reports.

Jaguars coach Gus Bradley said Monday that Posluszny's injury wasn't a "traditional" high-ankle sprain, which usually keeps a player out for a couple weeks. Luckily for the Jaguars, their starting linebacker isn't ruled out to play Sunday, as he looks to improve on his team-high 39 tackles so far this season.

Posluszny suffered a high ankle sprain during Sunday's game against the Colts and will be evaluated further this week.

Posluszny was forced to exit Sunday's game due to his ankle injury, which typically takes a few weeks to recover from. While the Jaguars have yet to release a timetable for Posluszny's return, they would certainly have a void to fill at middle linebacker, as Posluszny's 39 tackles and one interception lead Jacksonville at the moment.

This is a big blow for the Jacksonville defense, as they potentially lose the NFL's leading tackler through the first three weeks of the season. Posluszny has 29 tackles this season and one interception. He is questionable to return to the game.

Posluszny recorded 18 tackles (14 solo) in Sunday's Week 3 matchup against the Patriots.

The 30-year old linebacker was very impressive on Sunday despite the fact that the Jaguars' defense surrendered 51 points to the high-powered Patriots. Posluszny has recorded 34 tackles and an interception in just three games so far, and should provide great IDP value at the linebacker position moving forward. The Jaguars get a date with the Colts in Indianapolis next week.

Posluszny recorded nine tackles (eight solo) and an interception in Sunday's Week 1 opener against the Seahawks.

Posluszny was all over the field on Sunday and played a big role in the upset win over Seattle. He led the team in tackles and was the only player to intercept Russell Wilson. Posluszny is a great play at middle linebacker and he'll likely lead the Rams in tackles once again in 2015.

Posluszny, who is slated to reclaim his starting spot at middle linebacker, is still viewed as a three-down player by the Jaguars, the Florida Times-Union reports.

Posluszny returns for the 2015 season after a torn chest muscle ended his 2014 campaign during Week 7's contest against the Browns. Prior to his injury, he accumulated 69 tackles and two sacks in seven games. Posluszny signed a contract extension in April, keeping him in Jacksonville through the 2017 season. The 30-year-old linebacker finished second in the league in tackles during the 2013 season with 162 stops in 15 games.

Posluszny signed a one-year extension with the Jaguars on Thursday, the Sun Times reports.

The extension, which will keep the productive linebacker in Jacksonville through the 2017 season, will result in a slight pay cut, though Posluszny will receive more guaranteed money. The 30-year-old signed a six-year, $45 million contract with the Jaguars in 2011.

Posluszny is out for the season after suffering a torn pectoral muscle in Sunday's win over the Browns, the Florida Times-Union reports.

According to coach Gus Bradley, J.T. Thomas is slated to get the first shot at manning the Jags' middle linebacker spot in Posluszny's absence. Posluszny thus finishes up the 2014 season with 69 tackles and two sacks in seven games.

Posluszny left Sunday's game against Cleveland with a pectoral strain and will not return, the Jaguars' official site reports.

The winless Jags held a 24-6 lead when Posluszny was declared out, so perhaps he could have returned if the outcome was still in doubt. Despite having his day cut short, he posted a fantastic stat line, racking up 12 tackles (five solo), a sack, a tackle for a loss and a fumble recovery. We'll check in on his injury status leading up to next week's matchup with Miami.

Posluszny led the Jaguars with 12 tackles (nine solo) in Sunday's loss to the Steelers. He also added a sack and a pass defended.

Sore knee or not, Posluszny continues to lead a Jacksonville defense often tasked with playing large numbers of snaps due to the team's offensive ineffectiveness. On the season, Posluszny has 43 total tackles and one sack.

Posluszny (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Steelers.

Posluszny's knee might not be 100%, but he is good to go against the Steelers if he is one of your IDP options.

Posluszny did not practice Friday in order to rest his knee, according to the Jaguars' official site.

That said, Posluszny is listed as probable for Week 5 and expected to play Sunday against the Steelers, on the heels of back-to-back 11-tackle efforts.

Posluszny already has two double-digit tackle performances under his belt this season, with 30 (22 solo) in all. Another significant outing is certainly in the cards against the Chargers' balanced offense.
