But the Orioles designated Lobstein for assignment a few hours later after claiming OF Drew Stubbs on waivers from the Rangers. The Orioles also designated LHP Ashur Tolliver for assignment.

RHP Kyle Lobstein pitched three scoreless innings and was the winning pitcher when the Pirates scored in the 12th inning. He has pitched at least two innings in each of his seven appearances this season. This was his third consecutive scoreless outing, a streak that totals eight innings.

LHP Kyle Lobstein allowed a two-run home run by Reds third baseman Eugenio Suarez on Saturday, accounting for the second and third earned runs allowed by the Pirates' bullpen this season. Entering Saturday's game, Pirates relievers had allowed one earned run in the first 13 innings of the season after posting a major-league leading 2.64 ERA last year.
