Major League Baseball has suspended Diamondbacks pitching prospect Eric Smith 50 games for violating the league's substance abuse policy. |
It's not clear what substance he tested positive for. A former second-round pick, Smith, 24, has posted a 7.11 ERA over 38 innings at the Double-A level this season. |
