Fri Sep 4 201515:43Rondon recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Friday
Rondon was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
As expected, Rondon will return to Baltimore after spending a week at Triple-A. He's already had three major league stints this season, but he's unlikely to provide much more than bullpen depth as the Orioles chase a playoff spot.
Thu Aug 27 201519:47Rondon optioned to Triple-A Norfolk following Thursday's game
Rondon was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk following Thursday's game, Roch Kubatko of MASN reports.
This will end Rondon's third stint in the majors in 2015, a three-day span in which he pitched four innings in a mop-up role. There's a good chance the 27-year-old returns when rosters expand in September, but it's unlikely he sees anything beyond a deep bullpen depth role.
Mon Aug 24 201517:59Rondon officially recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday
Rondon was officially recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.
The team announced the move Sunday, and Rondon is now officially a part of the 25-man roster. Despite posting a respectable 2.42 ERA and 7.6 K/9 over 52 innings at Triple-A, the 27-year-old Rondon does not project to pitch in many high-leverage situations for Baltimore down the stretch.

Rondon will be called up from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
Claimed off waivers in May, the 27-year-old Rondon owns a 2.42 ERA, 7.6 K/9 and 2.8 BB/0 over 52 innings (29 games) for Triple-A Norfolk. He isn't much of a prospect and will likely be used in medium or low-leverage situations.
Sun Aug 2 201517:00Rondon optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday
Rondon was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.
Rondon has made three appearances in the majors this season, and was deemed expendable when a roster spot was needed for Monday's spot start. Look for the Orioles to turn back to Rondon should the need for bullpen help arise down the road.
Sat Aug 1 201515:01Rondon recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday
Rondon was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday.
The 26-year-old will join the Orioles for the first time, with Mike Wright (calf) landing on the 15-day disabled list. Rondon has posted a 2.01 ERA and 0.94 WHIP in 24 appearances (40.1 innings) with Norfolk since coming over on a waiver claim, and could stick as a long-relief option if his success carries over.
Sun May 10 201515:36Rondon claimed off waivers by Orioles on Sunday
Rondon was claimed off waivers by the Orioles on Sunday, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports.
Rondon was shelled for 10 runs in two relief appearances for the Rockies, which resulted in him being designated for assignment. He'll now get another chance with the Orioles at the Triple-A level. Rondon started the season strong at Triple-A Albuquerque, allowing just one earned run over five relief appearances. The right-hander will have to mirror that success to get another chance in the majors.

Rondon was designated for assignment by the Rockies on Saturday.
Rondon received a chance at a spot in the bullpen following a superb start to his season in Triple-A. However, his two outings with the Rockies were too much to overcome, allowing 10 runs on eight hits and three walks over just one inning.

Rondon was blown up for eight runs (seven earned) on five hits and two walks while failing to record an out in Friday's 14-3 loss to the Padres.
Rondon gave up three runs over one inning in relief in his only previous appearance with the Rockies this season, so Friday's showing will inflate his ERA to a whopping 90.00 for the season. He'll likely be returned to Triple-A Albuquerque in a matter of days.
