Black was outrighted to Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday, Mike Vorkunov of The Star-Ledger reports.
With the Mets making moves as they finalize their September roster, Black will remain in Las Vegas, where he's spent the entire 2015 campaign. Black was expected to play a major role out of the bullpen for New York this season, but he's instead stumbled to a 6.40 ERA across three minor league levels due in large part to a shoulder injury and a couple of other, minor ailments.

Black, who struggled after his activation off the disabled list, seems to have righted the ship lately and could be a potential option in the Mets' bullpen following Jenrry Mejia's suspension.
Black, in his first seven appearances after straining his groin, allowed nine hits and eight walks in only 6.1 innings for Triple-A Las Vegas. But he has righted the ship, surrendering just a run on five hits and a walk and two strikeouts in five innings over his last five appearances. With Mejia out and despite the acquisition of Tyler Clippard, the Mets may need one more bullpen arm, a role that may be filled by Mejia.

Black (shoulder) has not pitched the last six days due to a groin injury.
Black had just been activated off the disabled list and optioned to Triple-A when hit with this injury. He finally appeared to be over the neck and shoulder woes that have plagued him the past year when beset with this latest ailment. Once he is able to get back on the mound, if his velocity is able to stay in the mid-90s range and control improves, he could make his way back up to the majors.

Manager Terry Collins said Sunday that Black (shoulder) is a bit further off from returning to the Mets, ESPN New York's Adam Rubin reports.
Black has made 12 appearances with three different affiliates since coming out of spring training with the shoulder concern, but with his control still appearing shaky in a few of those outings, he'll have to stick around in the minors a little longer. With Jeurys Familia locking himself in as the Mets' closer, Black isn't poised to challenge for a role of much consequence once he's formally activated by the Mets.

Black was just moved up to the 51s to continue his rehab after pitching well for Double-A Binghamton. Black will make several appearances for Las Vegas before he is considered for activation off the disabled list to rejoin the Mets.

Black (shoulder) threw a scoreless inning for Double-A Binghamton on Tuesday.
Black cleared a major hurdle last week, pitching on back-to-back days. He is inching closer to rejoining the Mets, but that won't occur while the Mets are on their current road trip which ends Sunday. In addition, Black may need to pitch at Triple-A Las Vegas before he is activated off the disabled list.

Black (neck) tossed a perfect seventh, striking out one while hitting 94 mph for Double-A Binghamton on Monday.
Black will make a few appearances for the B-Mets before moving up to Triple-A Las Vegas. If his velocity can sit consistently around 94, he should be back with the parent club before too long.

Black is struggling to regain his prior form and velocity due to his neck woes, resulting in a longer than expected stint at St. Lucie. He may only make a few appearances for the B-Mets before moving up to the 51s, though that may depend on if his fastball gets back to where it was.

Black allowed a run on two hits, a walk and a wild pitch Saturday for High-A St. Lucie and it remains to be seen when he will move to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Black (shoulder) will join Double-A Binghamton to continue his rehab assignment, Newsday's Marc Carig reports.
Black will move up to the next rung on the minor league ladder after giving up one run on one hit and two walks, with two strikeouts in two innings, in a pair of rehab appearances with High-A St. Lucie. Manager Terry Collins suggested Friday that Black could be back on the major league roster within a week.
Fri Apr 17 201517:16Black (shoulder) could return within week
Black (shoulder) could return within a week, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.
The hard-throwing right-hander tossed a scoreless frame in his second rehab appearance with High-A St. Lucie on Thursday, and it sounds like he may soon be cleared to throw on back-to-back days with the affiliate. Black figures to compete for a high-leverage role upon activation, but it's hard to imagine he'll push Jeurys Familia for closer duties given his control issues.
