Black was outrighted to Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday, Mike Vorkunov of The Star-Ledger reports.

With the Mets making moves as they finalize their September roster, Black will remain in Las Vegas, where he's spent the entire 2015 campaign. Black was expected to play a major role out of the bullpen for New York this season, but he's instead stumbled to a 6.40 ERA across three minor league levels due in large part to a shoulder injury and a couple of other, minor ailments.

Black, who struggled after his activation off the disabled list, seems to have righted the ship lately and could be a potential option in the Mets' bullpen following Jenrry Mejia's suspension.

Black, in his first seven appearances after straining his groin, allowed nine hits and eight walks in only 6.1 innings for Triple-A Las Vegas. But he has righted the ship, surrendering just a run on five hits and a walk and two strikeouts in five innings over his last five appearances. With Mejia out and despite the acquisition of Tyler Clippard, the Mets may need one more bullpen arm, a role that may be filled by Mejia.

He finally appeared to be over the neck and shoulder woes that have plagued him the past year when beset with this latest ailment.
