Morban was reinstated from the restricted list Thursday and transferred to Double-A Jackson, the Tacoma News Tribune's Bob Dutton reports.
He missed the last two months due to personal reasons, and will now be sent from Triple-A to Double-A. Morbin hit 17 home runs at High-A in 2012, but since then he has done little of note and should be considered a fringe prospect at best.

Morban has been placed on the restricted list due to personal reasons, Bob Dutton of the News Tribune reports.
Morban left the team for personal reasons following Saturday's game. By placing him on the restricted list, the Mariners cleared a spot on the 40-man roster for right handed reliever Mark Lowe.

Mariners optioned OF Julio Morban to Double-A Jackson.
It's no surprise that he's an early cut. Morban, 22, returns to Double-A where he batted .295/.362/.468 with seven homers and 44 RBI over 86 games last season.

Fri Mar 15 201322:12Mariners make another round of roster cuts
Mariners optioned INF Carlos Triunfel, LHP Bobby LaFromboise, RHP Yoervis Medina and INF Vinnie Catricala to Triple-A Tacoma, optioned OF Julio Morban and INF Francisco Martinez to Double-A West Tennessee and re-assigned RHP Andrew Carraway to minor league camp.
None of them were expected to make the major league roster, so there are no real surprises here. It turns out to be a bittersweet day for Morban, who blasted a pair of home runs to lead the Mariners to victory earlier in the afternoon.
