House continues to deal with a strain in his throwing shoulder, and it's looking increasingly likely that his impact won't be felt again this season. The move to the 60-day DL frees up a spot on the 40-man roster with the Indians selecting Giovanni Soto and Michael Martinez from Triple-A on Friday.

House (shoulder) has been added to the major league disabled list after filing a grievance indicating he was injured during his time with the big league club, Paul Hoynes of the Northeast Media Group reports.

House (shoulder) will rest for two weeks before resuming throwing, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports.
It seems he's had a setback with the strain in his left shoulder, and thus House's timeline for a potential return to the Triple-A Columbus rotation has been pushed back, probably toward the end of July or early August. Even when he does return from this injury, he's likely to remain in the minor leagues.

House was placed on the minor league disabled list Wednesday due to a left shoulder strain.
House posted a 1.72 ERA in his first four outings with Triple-A Columbus, but he gave up six earned runs over 5.1 innings in his last start, and it seems likely the injury played a role. It's not clear how long House will be sidelined, but the Indians will be forced to look elsewhere if they need to bring up a starter for any reason over the next several weeks.

House (shoulder) was activated off the DL and optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Thursday, Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
House was placed on the 15-day DL at the start of May with inflammation in his left shoulder, but he won't rejoin the big league team just yet after he posted a 13.15 ERA with 12 walks in just 13 innings of big league action this year. Shaun Marcum will fill in the fifth rotation spot for the time being, though House could work his way back up if he can turn his season around in the minors.

House (shoulder) will throw three innings in a rehab appearance with Low-A Lake County on Friday, Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
House's shoulder held up during a side session Tuesday and seemingly responded well overnight, as he has been given the green light to begin a minor league rehab assignment. The 25-year-old lefty was absolutely terrible in his first four starts for the Indians this season (13.15 ERA, 2.54 WHIP), but his struggles can likely be attributed in part to the shoulder woes. He could get another opportunity in the rotation once completely healthy.

Sun May 10 201514:03House (shoulder) scheduled to throw long toss Sunday
House (shoulder) was scheduled to throw long toss Sunday, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports.
With House reporting that his arm has felt much better in recent days, he'll likely steadily increase his long-toss distance before stepping back onto a mound. The Indians are hoping the time off to address the shoulder issue will help House return to form once he's activated from the DL. He surrendered 19 earned runs and walked 12 batters over 13 innings before being shut down by the Tribe.
Fri May 8 201519:23House (shoulder) has resumed throwing
House (shoulder) has resumed throwing, Zach Meisel of the Northeast Ohio Media Group reports.
House was placed on the disabled list a week ago with left shoulder inflammation, but appears to be making some positive progress. He struggled in his first four starts this season, but the shoulder issues could be partially to blame for that. He remains without a definite return date, but that should clear up as it nears.

House fell to 0-4 after allowing five runs on four hits and three walks in three innings Thursday against Toronto.
House has been absolutely unplayable for fantasy purposes this year, as he hasn't even remotely sniffed a good outing. When you come into a game with a 12.60 ERA and actually manage to raise it, you know something's seriously wrong. With a stunning 19 runs (all earned) allowed in just 13 innings with a 7:12 K:BB, House has been one of the worst pitchers in baseball.

House lasted just three innings on Saturday, giving up three runs on four hits and four walks, striking out three.
Given how many baserunners he allowed, House should count himself lucky that the Tigers weren't able to do more damage off him. Incredibly enough, the outing actually dropped House's ERA to 12.60, and he may not be able to keep his rotation spot much longer if he continues to struggle.

House will start Saturday against the Tigers in place of Trevor Bauer (illness).
The Indians had intended on effectively skipping House this time through the rotation after he struggled in his first two starts, but they will be forced to turn to him Saturday with Bauer under the weather. House was clobbered for six earned runs on six hits and three walks in just 1.1 innings against Detroit in his 2015 debut.

House allowed six run over just 1.1 innings in his season debut Saturday.
Both House and Zach McAllister struggled in their first starts of the season after locking down rotation spots in the spring. Danny Salazar got off to a quick start at Triple-A and figures to push for a rotation spot shortly so House will need to out pitch McAllister going forward.
