Fri May 15 201516:14Ramirez recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday
Ramirez was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday, Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News reports.
Ramirez will be up to provide some bullpen depth with Chase Whitley (elbow) landing on the DL, but the team will need to create a spot Wednesday for Whitley's replacement in the rotation, Chris Capuano (quad). Thus, Ramirez's stint may be short, but he has been impressive at Triple-A so far this year (2.95 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, 8.8 K/9) and could make the decision difficult if he fares well in the days ahead.
