Obispo signed a minor league contract with the Brewers on Tuesday.
The right-hander has hit the proverbial wall at Triple-A the past three seasons, posting a 4.12 ERA and 1.40 WHIP in 131 innings at the highest minor league level. The Brewers likely signed him simply for organizational bullpen depth, and at 30, it's a question whether he'll ever reach the majors.

Obispo was cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday, Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
Obispo, 29, has spent time at Triple-A in both the Braves and Pirates organizations this season, doing little to distinguish himself with walk rates above 4.5 K/9 IP at both stops. He'll function as a depth relief arm for the Pirates.

The Pirates designated Obispo for assignment Wednesday, Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
Acquired via waiver claim from the Braves back on June 1, Obispo went on to post a 3.16 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 24:13 K:BB in 23 appearances with the Pirates' Triple-A Indianapolis affiliate. He was bumped from the 40-man roster Wednesday to make room for catcher Ramon Cabrera, and Obispo will once again be subjected to waivers. If the right-hander passes through unclaimed, he'll likely play out the year with Indy as organizational depth.
