The Rays were in need of bullpen reinforcements after using six relievers in Friday's game, so they decided to call up Everett Teaford and send down Riefenhauser, even though he was not one of the pitchers used in Friday's contest. Riefenhauser owns a 9.95 ERA this year, but he has had three stints with the Rays this season, so there's a good chance he will be called up again later this summer.

Riefenhauser returning to the minors was fairly expected, but there's a very good chance he returns to the major league squad in 2015.
