Wooten was outrighted off the Brewers' 40-man roster Thursday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

The Brewers announced earlier in the day that Wooten would be optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs, but it wasn't apparent until hours later that he had been outrighted off the 40-man roster. After being rocked for eight runs and posting a 6:6 K:BB ratio over six innings with the Brewers, the soft-tossing Wooten likely won't draw much interest from other teams via trade or waivers.
