Tue Aug 30 202211:16Tim Beckham Outrighted
Minnesota Twins shortstop Tim Beckham cleared waivers after being designated for assignment and was outrighted to Triple-A St. Paul, so he'll remain with the organization. Beckham was dropped from the 40-man roster when the Twins reinstated outfielder Kyle Garlick from the injured list recently. The 32-year-old only appeared in 12 games for Minnesota, going 2-for-25 (.080) with no home runs, one RBI, one run scored and nine strikeouts. He'll continue to provide middle infield depth for the Twins in the minors, but he's well off the fantasy radar at this time.

Sat Feb 5 202219:49Twins Sign Tim Beckham To Minor League Deal
The Minnesota Twins have decided to sign infielder Tim Beckham to a minor league deal. The former first overall draft pick from 2008 hasn't played in the MLB since 2019 with the Seattle Mariners. Beckham spent time in the minor league system with the Chicago White Sox last year. However, Beckham only managed to play 45 games all season due to a knee injury. He has a .249/.302/.431 slash line with 63 home runs and 13 stolen bases in the MLB since his debut in 2013. He'll have a chance to make the roster as depth, but doesn't appear to be someone who would make an impact in fantasy leagues.

Tue Mar 30 202118:35White Sox slugger Jiménez has surgery for torn pectoral
Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jiménez was having surgery Tuesday to repair a ruptured left pectoral tendon, and general manager Rick Hahn said the slugger still is expected to miss five to six months. Hahn said the timeline hasn't changed, though he left the door open for Jiménez to return sooner. “There's a chance, certainly, that he beats that traditional timeframe for this type of injury of five to six months,” he said. “But quite candidly, no one's going to know that for at least 12 weeks until he's completed the healing process and the rehabilitation side of this injury.” Jiménez was hurt last week in a spring training game against Oakland when he tried to make a leaping grab at the wall on Sean Murphy’s home run. The injury led to more questions about whether he is better suited for designated hitter than left field, where he has gotten hurt a couple times since his big league debut in 2019. The 24-year-old Jiménez, who throws and bats right-handed, was acquired in a July 2017... [More]

NEW YORK (AP) — The number of major leaguers allowed to use otherwise-banned drugs to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder dropped to the lowest level since the sport started issuing annual reports in 2008.The results come in a report issued Monday by Thomas Martin, the Independent Program Administrator for the drug program of Major League Baseball and the players' association. There were 91 therapeutic use exemptions for HDHD drugs in the year ending with the 2019 World Series. That was down from the previous lows, 101 last year, and 103 in 2017.
