Barth made a triumphant return to the Bucs, successfully converting all three field goal attempts and a trio of point-after tries in Sunday's 38-31 loss to the Jaguars.
Barth helped to quickly put the departed Kyle Brindza's inconsistencies in the rearview mirror, turning in a perfect performance in Week 5. The veteran kicker hit field goals of 35, 45 and 47 yards and was impeccable on his first three career extra-point tries from the newly-instituted distance.
Tue Oct 6 201510:33Barth signed with Tampa Bay on Tuesday
Barth signed with Tampa Bay on Tuesday, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The seven-year veteran was the Bucs' kicker from 2009-13, and he was in camp with the team this preseason to compete with Kyle Brindza. While Brindza won the job, he was released following Sunday's Week 4 loss, so Barth will return and presumably step in as the starter. In his career, Barth has converted 116 of 136 field goals (83 percent).
Fri Sep 4 201511:24Barth cut by Tampa Bay
Barth has been cut by Tampa Bay, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports.
Barth missed both of his field goal attempts during the preseason and has his only attempt in Thursday's game against the Dolphins blocked. His release means Kyle Brindza, brought in via trade earlier this week, will make the team. Brindza drilled two long field goals Thursday, connecting from 55 and 57 yards. Patrick Murray could still factor into the discussion, but the job appears to be Brindza's to lose heading into Week 1.
Mon Aug 31 201504:29Barth missed 43-yard field goal Saturday against Browns
Barth missed a 43-yard field goal Saturday against the Browns. The kick was his only opportunity of the night.
Barth, who was signed earlier in the week to push struggling incumbent Patrick Murray, missed wide right near the end of the first half.Late in the game Patrick Murray missed a 44-yarder wide left. That was Murray's third miss of the preseason. He also missed an extra point, which prompted the Bucs to bring back Barth. Patrick Murray, who is competing with Barth to start at kicker for Tampa, also missed his only field goal chance of the night, a 44-yarder late in the game. Murray went 20-of-24 on field goals last year, his first in the NFL, and was retained after the Bucs cut Barth loose. The team brought him back as Murray continues to struggle. Tampa should move closer toward a decision this week as to who will handle primary kicking duties this season.
Thu Aug 27 201510:30Barth signed contract with Buccaneers on Wednesday
Barth signed a contract with the Buccaneers on Wednesday.
After being released by the Broncos earlier in the week, Barth will return to Tampa Bay and recreate the kicking competition with Patrick Murray that both players faced at last year's training camp. Murray went on to win the job before Barth latched on with Denver, for whom he knocked down 15-of-16 field goals in five games. Look for Murray, who nailed 13 fields goals in a row to end last season, to remain the favorite in the job battle.
Wed Aug 26 201510:21Barth released by Broncos on Wednesday
Barth was released by the Broncos on Wednesday.
Barth was the projected starting kicker for Denver coming into the season but it appears they're electing to re-implement Brandon McManus back into that role after Barth won over the job at the end of the 2014-15 season. With only one field goal missed after 16 attempts last season, Barth will likely receive some offers from around the league and could even have a new job before the season starts anew.

Barth was a perfect 4-for-4 on his field goal attempts and 5-for-5 on PATs during Sunday's win over the Raiders.
A week after missing his lone field goal attempt, Barth was back at it Sunday, connecting on at least four field goals for the third time in five games since joining the Broncos. Denver earned a first-round playoff bye with Sunday's win, giving Barth a week off before kicking in the postseason for the first time in his career.

Barth hit all five of his field goal attempts (19, 26, 19, 49 and 44-yards) and his lone PAT during Sunday's win over the Chargers.
Former kicker Brandon McManus struggled to get many opportunities earlier in the season, but Barth hasn't had that problem, going 11-of-11 in the three games since he took over, plus 6-of-6 on PATs. The Broncos brought him aboard because of his accuracy and he's shown to be a reliable kicking option, something that could make him an attractive option in Week 16 against the Bengals, weather-permitting in Cincinnati.

Barth connected on his lone field goal attempt, a 50-yarder, and all three extra points during Sunday's win over the Bills.
After going 5-for-5 in his debut in Week 13 against the Chiefs, Barth went back to the low volume that plagued former starter Brandon McManus before he was cut and then re-signed to be the team's kickoff specialist. The Broncos' offense still has plenty of ability to move the ball down the field, so Barth could get a number of opportunities in the final weeks of the season, though the next two games will be on the road, so he likely won't get many 50-yard attempts away from the thin Denver air.

Barth will sign with the Broncos on Tuesday after they cut Brandon McManus, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.
McManus struggled with his accuracy this season, hitting only nine of 13 field goal attempts after beating out Matt Prater for the job when the latter returned from a four-game suspension. The field goal opportunities haven't been nearly as plentiful in Denver this year than last, though the Broncos' offense continues to move the ball well and could give Barth a decent number of opportunities for the stretch run, including some longer kicks in the thin Denver air.

Patrick Murray has won Tampa Bay's starting kicking job as a result.

Barth converted 3-of-3 PATs and made a 43-yard field goal in Saturday's preseason game against the Bills.
Barth appears to be fully recovered from a torn Achilles tendon that forced him to miss the entire 2013 season, so he is all-but-certain to handle all of Tampa Bay's placekicking duties this season. Undrafted rookie Patrick Murray booted a 27-yard field goal Saturday, but will likely be cut from the roster prior to the regular season opener.
Sat Mar 29 201412:50Barth completely healed from Achilles injury
Bucs K Connor Barth is completely healed from the Achilles injury that sidelined him in 2013.
"I'm making 61-yard field goals," Barth said. Barth was one of the most consistent kickers in the game before suffering the injury during a charity basketball last July. Barth's fantasy value has been held back by the tepidity of the Tampa Bay offense, but he is as solid an option as any in the fantasy kicking game.

Bucs re-signed franchise player K Connor Barth to a four-year, $13.2 million contract.
Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the deal includes $4 million in guarantees. He was due $2.6 million under the franchise tag. Barth was arguably the Bucs' most consistent offensive weapon last year, banging home 26-of-28 field goals, including 13-of-14 from 40-49 yards out. Franchise players Matt Prater and Josh Scobee should better Barth's deal, as both also handle kickoffs.

After setting a franchise record by nailing 92.9-percent of his field goals a season ago, Barth is looking for a long-term extension with an annual base salary near $3 million. The two sides have until July 15 to work out a deal, but it appears Barth will work out with his teammates in the meantime.

Tue Apr 17 201216:33Connor Barth absent from offseason workouts
Unsigned franchise player Connor Barth was not present for the first day of Bucs' voluntary activities on Tuesday.
As long as he's staying in shape, it's hardly a major issue for a kicker to miss offseason practices. Although Barth is in search of a long-term deal, he'll report once practices become mandatory.

Barth, 26, was Tampa Bay's most consistent offensive player in 2011, banging 26 of his 28 field goal attempts through the uprights. Whereas the Browns are guaranteeing K Phil Dawson north of $3.8 million because he's been tagged two years in a row, the Bucs will only owe Barth in the neighborhood of $2.6 million.
