LHP Jed Bradley announced his retirement Thursday. "He didn't pitch particularly well; sometimes that's like a gut reaction. We all have those moments, right?" manager Buck Showalter said.

LHP Jed Bradley made his major league debut Saturday and earned his first career win by throwing a scoreless inning against the Phillies. Bradley was taken by the Brewers in the first round (15th overall) of the 2011 draft. "It's been an absolute blessing," he said of his career. "It just proves you're never out of the fight. My career didn't start the way I wanted it to or a lot of people thought it would, but you're never out of it, and I thank God for it."

Tue Mar 24 201517:55Bradley being converted to reliever
Bradley is being converted to a reliever, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Bradley was selected 15th overall in the 2012 draft as a starting pitcher, but his professional results have been average at best, and the Brewers now want to see what he can do pitching in relief. Bradley reached the Double-A level last season, but it remains to be seen where his 2015 campaign will begin.
Wed Apr 23 201412:41Bradley keeps rolling
Brewers prospect LHP Jed Bradley took another step in the right direction Tuesday, allowing one run on five hits with five strikeouts in six innings for High-A Brevard County.
Bradley is back at Brevard County for a third tour after two dismal showings at the level in 2012 and 2013. The 23-year-old left-hander allowed seven runs on nine hits in 4 1/3 innings in his season debut, but since then he's strung together a trio of promising starts in which he owns a 1.06 ERA and 16/1 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 17 innings. If Bradley can get back on track this season, it would serve as a huge boost to a Brewers system that's thin on upper-level arms.

Thu Apr 17 201411:27Brewers LHP prospect Bradley with six shutout
Brewers left-handed pitching prospect Jed Bradley threw six shutout innings for High-A Brevard County.
Bradley struck out five and allowed only two singles in his effort. While he has had two consecutive good starts, Bradley is in his third consecutive season with High-A Brevard County and sports a 4.70 ERA for the season, which is lower than his 4.93 career ERA in Brevard County. He was one of two first round picks for the Brewers in 2011, neither of which have been able to reach the major leagues.

Wed Aug 8 201215:58Brewers' Bradley dealing with arm fatigue
Brewers assistant general manager Gord Ash said Wednesday that prospect left-hander Jed Bradley likely won't pitch again this season due to arm fatigue.
Bradley isn't dealing with a specific injury, but the Brewers don't want to take any chances with just a few weeks left in the minor league season. The 2011 first-round pick has really struggled in his first year of pro ball, posting an ugly 5.53 ERA and 60/43 K/BB ratio over 107 1/3 innings with High-A Brevard County.

Tue May 15 201200:17Jed Bradley exits start with groin strain
Brewers prospect left-hander Jed Bradley left his start Monday with High-A Brevard County due to a mild groin strain.
Bradley gave up two runs on three hits and two walks over 3 1/3 innings before exiting. The 2011 first-round pick skipped the Arizona Fall League due to a mild groin strain, an injury which lingered into the early days of spring training, so this situation is worth watching. The promising 23-year-old has a 3.53 ERA and 36/14 K/BB ratio in 43 1/3 innings in eight starts this season.
