Jones was released by the Marlins last week after posting a 7.54 ERA and 17/20 K/BB ratio in 22 2/3 innings with Triple-A New Orleans. The former supplemental first-round pick could struggle to ever reach the bigs.

Marlins released LHP Beau Jones.
Jones, supplemental first-round pick of the Braves back in 2005, signed a minor league deal with the Marlins over the winter and posted an ugly 7.54 ERA and 17/20 K/BB ratio over 22 2/3 innings with Triple-A New Orleans. The 25-year-old southpaw will attempt to latch on elsewhere.

Jones, 25, posted a 3.63 ERA and 54/26 K/BB ratio over 62 innings this year at the Triple-A level. He was a supplemental first-round pick of the Braves back in '05.

Sosnick Cobbe Sports announced via their Twitter page that the Marlins have signed left-hander Beau Jones.
The Marlins have yet to make an official announcement. Jones was a supplemental first round pick of the Braves back in 2005 and was later shipped to the Rangers in the Mark Teixeira trade. Now 25 years old, the southpaw posted a 3.63 ERA and 54/26 K/BB ratio over 62 innings with Triple-A Round Rock this past season.
