LHP Jeff Brigham was selected Miami's Minor League Pitcher of the Month for July. He was 2-0 with a 0.33 ERA in five starts for high Class A Jupiter.

Brigham was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday, Kevin McAlpin of 680 Sports Radio reports.

Brigham was lit up Sunday, allowing eight runs on nine hits and four walks over just 1.2 innings Monday. He's now lost his spot on the 25-man roster, but could be recalled in September if the Braves decide to add a few more bullpen arms.
