Dodgers designated RHP Lance Cormier for assignment.
He was cleared to make room for Rubby De La Rosa on the roster. The 30-year-old Cormier made the Dodgers out of spring training as a non-roster invitee, but has posted an ugly 9.88 ERA and 7/5 K/BB ratio over his first 13 2/3 innings this season.

Wed Feb 16 201111:50Dodgers ink Cormier to minors deal
Dodgers signed RHP Lance Cormier to a minor league contract.
The contract includes an invite to big league spring training, where he'll compete for a spot in Don Mattingly's bullpen. Cormier, 30, posted a superficially solid 3.92 ERA across 60 relief appearances with the Rays last season, but he did so with an awful 30/34 K/BB over 62 innings.
Thu Dec 2 201018:36Rays non-tender righty Lance Cormier
Rays non-tendered RHP Lance Cormier.
The Rays badly need bullpen depth, but not at the cost that it would have taken to retain Cormier. He earned $1.2 million in 2010 and would have secured a raise via arbitration despite posting a 1.65 WHIP over 60 relief appearances. The Rays may try to re-sign him at a lesser rate.
