Sisk announced the deal on his personal Twitter account. The 29-year-old was released from the Angels' Triple-A affiliate this season after allowing 16 earned runs in 11 innings. He's never appeared in the majors.

Sisk, who was acquired from the Angels over the offseason in the Ervin Santana trade, should make his major league debut at some point in 2013. He posted a 2.54 ERA and 72/32 K/BB ratio over 67 1/3 innings at the Triple-A level in 2012.

Nothing surprising here. Sisk allowed one run over two innings of work this spring. The 25-year-old left-hander posted a 4.46 ERA and 63/28 K/BB ratio over 68 2/3 innings as a reliever with Double-A Northwest Arkansas last season.
