LHP Charlie Furbush (left shoulder biceps tendinitis) threw 10 to 12 pitches off a mound Sunday and "felt great," manager Scott Servais said Monday. "He probably was too aggressive. Just build up, Charlie. We have a throwing program progression for him. Get some mound work in, get some live hitters, then probably see him start getting out to some (rehab) games." Furbush went on the disabled list April 3, retroactive to March 25.

Tue Sep 8 201517:50Furbush transferred to 60-day DL on Tuesday
Furbush was transferred to the 60-day DL on Tuesday, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
Furbush was diagnosed last month with a partially torn rotator cuff, and he'll miss the rest of the season with goal of returning for the start of the 2016 season. Tuesday's move simply removes him from the 40-man roster, and the Mariners used the vacated spot to add J.C. Ramirez.

An MRI on Furbush's shoulder revealed a partially torn rotator cuff, Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times reports.
Furbush will seek a second opinion, but it sounds like he's done for the year as a result of the injury. The lefty was one of the few bright spots in the Seattle bullpen before going down, posting a 2.08 ERA and 0.65 WHIP in 33 appearances, with a .105/.150/.105 batting line allowed to opposing left-handers.

Furbush (biceps) will return to Seattle to visit with team doctors, MLB.com's Greg Johns reports.
Furbush suffered a setback during Saturday's bullpen session, and will require further evaluation before a timeline for a return can be established. With the team short a bullpen arm, Mike Montgomery could be used in relief in an emergency situation (per Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times).

Furbush (biceps) suffered a setback during Saturday's bullpen session and will be re-examined this coming week, Bob Dutton of the News Tribune reports.
Furbush has now suffered two setbacks since landing on the disabled list with biceps tendinitis in early July. Saturday's setback will undoubtedly push back his expected rehab assignment until he's able to get through a bullpen session pain-free. "He still feels something in there, so we'll get it checked," said Mariners GM Jack Zduriencik Saturday. Furbush's upcoming re-examination should shed more light on when, or if, the reliever will be able to return this season.
Tue Aug 11 201519:19Furbush (biceps) will throw another bullpen session Saturday
Furbush (biceps) will throw another bullpen session Saturday, the Seattle Times' Ryan Divish reports.
Furbush is still not ready to go on a rehab assignment, as his recovery has not been as speedy as was initially anticipated. When he is finally healthy enough to return to the big league bullpen it will likely be primarily in mid-leverage situations.

Furbush (biceps) will throw bullpen sessions on Sunday and Tuesday and if everything goes off without a hitch could start a rehab stint with Triple-A Tacoma, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.
Furbush has been on the DL since July 8, but he did throw 10 pitches on Tuesday without experiencing pain, so if everything goes well during his bullpen sessions he could begin his rehab assignment as early as Thursday.
