Scott (groin) went 0-for-1 on Sunday as a pinch hitter in his first appearance back for Triple-A Buffalo since returning from the disabled list.

The 37-year-old Scott missed two weeks with a groin injury and is being worked back into the lineup. In 46 games for Triple-A Buffalo, he's hitting for a .244/.317/.387 slash line with three home runs and 24 RBI.

Scott was hitting .246 in 45 games with Triple-A Buffalo with three home runs and 24 RBI. He's also spent time with the Pericos de Puebla in the Mexican League, where he hit .292 with seven home runs in 28 games with the team. Scott was replaced by Jon Berti for Triple-A Buffalo.

Scott signed a minor league deal with the Blue Jays on Thursday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet reports.

Scott, who last saw major league action for the Rays in 2013, spent last season in Korea and has played 28 games in Mexico in 2015. The 36-year-old will report to Triple-A Buffalo in hopes of proving he can still be a productive hitter. Given his advanced age, Scott's upside is very limited, from a fantasy perspective.
