Martinez signed a Minor League contract with the Orioles on Monday, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.
Martinez spent the majority of the 2014 season at Triple-A Gwinnett of the Braves organization but started the year at Double-A Chattanooga before getting traded in May to the Braves. He will likely start the 2015 season at Triple-A Norfolk seeing that he only has played in 34 big league games over the course of his career.

Martinez, who was acquired from the Marlins last September as part of the Ozzie Guillen deal, was hitting just .178 with zero homers and a .450 OPS over 230 plate appearances with Triple-A Charlotte this season. The 24-year-old will serve as organizational depth.

White Sox acquired SS Osvaldo Martinez and RHP Jhan Marinez from the Marlins for manager Ozzie Guillen.
The odd agreement was finalized on Tuesday afternoon, with Guillen signing a four-year contract to the be the new manager of the Miami Marlins. Martinez, a 23-year-old infielder, was selected in the 11th round of the 2006 MLB Amateur Draft. He's a decent defender with good speed, but is far from a major prospect. Marinez is a 23-year-old middle reliever.

Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com reports that Osvaldo Martinez will be sent to the White Sox along with a minor league pitcher in exchange for manager Ozzie Guillen.
Martinez, 23, was an 11th round selection in the 2006 MLB Amateur Draft. Known more for his defense than offense, he batted just .245/.296/.322 with three home runs and 26 RBI in 371 plate appearances this season at Triple-A New Orleans. He can't really be considered a prospect. The trade is expected to go final on Wednesday.

Marlins purchased the contract of SS Osvaldo Martinez from Triple-A New Orleans.
He is taking Logan Morrison's place on the Marlins' 25-man roster after LoMo landed on the 15-day disabled list with a foot injury on Thursday. Martinez hit a solid .326 in 43 at-bats for Florida last year, but has been just a .271 hitter throughout his minor-league career, and has little to no power. He's not worth a look in NL-only leagues.
