Tue Nov 18 201421:22Sanabia signed minor league contract with Angels on Tuesday
Sanabia signed a minor league contract with the Angels on Tuesday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
The Marlins welcomed Sanabia back after the Diamondbacks cut ties in early May, and the right-hander went on to post decent numbers in 20 appearances (19 starts) with Triple-A New Orleans (7-4, 3.98 ERA, 93:32 K:BB). He hasn't had much success in 28 career appearances (24 starts) at the major league level, with a 4.15 ERA and 1.44 WHIP, but he at least fills an organizational depth need for his new club.

Marlins signed RHP Alex Sanabia to a minor league contract.
He's been assigned to Triple-A New Orleans. He's now back in the organization where he spent his first eight years of professional ball.

Diamondbacks claimed RHP Alex Sanabia off waivers from the Marlins.
The 25-year-old right-hander joins the Diamondbacks 40-man roster. He made 10 starts for the Marlins in 2013, posting a 3-7 record, 4.88 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 31/25 K/BB ratio over 55 1/3 innings. He's unlikely to have much fantasy value even if he does make the Opening Day roster in Arizona.

Mon May 20 201322:10Alex Sanabia earns win over Phillies
Alex Sanabia scattered seven hits while holding the Phillies to one run in 6 1/3 innings in a victory on Monday.
Sanabia snapped a five-start losing streak, winning for the first time since April 16. With his 1.69 WHIP and 28/24 K/BB ratio in 51 1/3 innings, he wouldn't be much of a fantasy option even if he pitched for a good team.

Wed May 15 201323:20Sanabia takes fifth-straight loss vs. Reds
Alex Sanabia allowed four runs over six innings as the Marlins lost to the Reds on Wednesday.
Four runs was actually a good showing for Sanabia, as he gave up nine hits and three walks on the night. The right-hander now has a 5.00 ERA and probably shouldn't be starting for a major league team, let alone a fantasy one. His next start will come Monday against the Phillies.

Mon Apr 22 201313:07Alex Sanabia struggles through six
Alex Sanabia allowed five runs on six hits and five walks over six frames in Sunday's loss to the Reds.
Sanabia was pitching relatively well before the wheels came off in the seventh inning, when he left with the bases loaded and watched Jon Rauch allow every inherited runner to score. The righty has been good in two starts and bad in two others, and inconsistency should continue. He faces the Cubs next.

Wed Apr 10 201322:15Sanabia roughed up by Braves hitters
Alex Sanabia allowed six runs in five innings as the Marlins lost to the Braves on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old had a good turn the first time out, and through four innings it looked like he might turn in another solid performance. But things fell apart in the fifth, as Sanabia served up jacks to Evan Gattis and Juan Francisco as part of a six-run inning. Sanabia's next start will come Tuesday against the Nationals.

Fri Sep 16 201119:20Alex Sanabia to get another start
Marlins manager Jack McKeon said he would like to give Alex Sanabia another start before the end of the season.
Sanabia certainly earned one, giving up just one run over six innings in the second game of Thursday's doubleheader. "Let's give him another look, let him go out on a positive note [knowing], `My arm is OK,'" McKeon said. "Maybe he'll have a chance to pitch here next year. He throws strikes. That's the big thing. He makes them hit the ball." Sanabia, who has missed most of the year with elbow issues, is slated to go to the Arizona Fall League in order to make up for some lost innings.

Marlins manager Jack McKeon said Alex Sanabia will get a start next week.
It will either come on September 14 against the Braves or the following day during the doubleheader against the Phillies. Whichever of the starts Sanabia doesn't make will go to Brad Hand. Sanabia held a 7.89 ERA over four starts with Triple-A New Orleans after missing the first four months of the season due to an elbow injury. He can be avoided in fantasy.

Mon Sep 5 201122:33Marlins recall RHP Sanabia from minors
Marlins recalled RHP Alex Sanabia from Triple-A New Orleans.
Sanabia had an ugly 7.89 ERA over four starts with the Zephyrs after missing the first four months of the season due to an elbow injury. Marlins manager Jack McKeon plans to keep Brad Hand in the starting rotation for the rest of the season, so Sanabia will likely function as a long man out of the bullpen down the stretch.
