Tekotte was traded from the White Sox to the Diamondbacks for cash considerations, CSN Chicago reports.

Tekotte has seen limited time in the majors in his four seasons with the Padres and White Sox. He was batting .251 with 11 home runs with Triple-A Charlotte this season. He'll likely spend time in Triple-A Reno before gets a chance at making the Diamondbacks' roster. The outfielder is already part of a young group of outfielders on the Diamondbacks roster and in its system, so finding a spot on the major league team long term could be difficult.
