Dykstra cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Durham on Sunday, the Tampa Tribune reports.
Dykstra was designated for assignment by the Rays on Saturday in order to add Everett Teaford to the 40-man roster shortly after being optioned. He struggled in his time with the big league club, but has shown relatively good numbers at Triple-A. He'll remain with the club at that level, awaiting another opportunity to produce in the majors.

Dykstra is headed back to the United States, where he's likely to undergo surgery. It's not clear how long he'll be sidelined. The 26-year-old is coming off a nice season at Double-A Birmingham, where he batted .274/.436/.503 with 21 homers and 82 RBI.

Mets first base prospect Allan Dykstra appears to have a fractured wrist.
The youngster's X-rays will be reviewed by doctors in New York. Dykstra was selected by the Padres in the first round of the 2008 MLB Amateur Draft and was dealt to the Mets last spring. He has power, but, at 24, is running out of time as a prospect.

Mets acquired 1B Allan Dykstra from the Padres for RHP Eddie Kunz.
Dykstra was selected by the Padres in the first round of the 2008 MLB Amateur Draft and posted a decent .241/.372/.438 batting line, 16 home runs and 70 RBI across 113 games last season at a high level of Single-A. He's a bit of an older prospect at age 23, but there's certainly some power in his bat.
