The Orioles are still trying to decide whether to sign Jack Cust, according to Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports.

Cust worked out for the team for three days this past week in Sarasota but left without an offer. Kubatko said the feeling is the team would likely sign the 35-year-old if he's willing to begin the year at Triple-A Norfolk. The left-handed hitter may not get a better offer after being released by the Rays last March and sitting out the entire 2013 season.

He hit .213 while homering just three times in 67 games for the Mariners this season, but still managed to reach base at a clip of .344 in 270 plate appearances. The 32-year-old could still interest another organization as a left-handed bat off the bench, but he'll probably need to accept another assignment to a Triple-A affiliate.
